The XM-3500Li electric motorcycle is nearly identical in appearance to the XM-4000Li. The chassis is identical. In addition, the Lithium batteries are identical (same size, same make, everything). The XM-4000Li has a different controller which gives it a higher top speed (50 mph vs. 43 mph). But the range for the XM-3500Li is the same under the same driving conditions (speed, driver weight, acceleration, etc.).

The XM-3500Li is simply the lightest and fastest electric motorcycle with long-lasting Lithium Ion batteries that you can buy at this price. With proper care, these batteries can last 7 to 9 years and be charged up to 2000 times! And because of the Lithium power, the driving distances can be up to 60 miles on a single charge* (at lower cruising speeds on level terrain).

This is a beautiful motorcycle with a great profile and an expensive look (see pictures under the 'Images' tab above). It's a full size motorcycle, 78 inches in length, yet is super easy to handle at only 276 lbs (longer and much lighter than the $11,000 Vectrix which is 60 inches and 462 lbs). The oversized seat is wide and comfortable, and easily accommodates two large adults. And what a joy to ride! The acceleration is both swift, smooth and quiet. The only sound is that of the wind.

The XM-3500Li is about 22% larger in size than the XM-3000 but weighs less due to the use of lightweight Lithium Ion Batteries. It also has about 25% more torque than the XM-3000, great for climbing hills! With a maximum rider weight of 400 lbs and an oversized seat, two can ride comfortably. The distribution of the weight is also an important factor since the 20 batteries are small & stored low in the bike to keep the center of weight low to the ground which gives the driver more stability & control. With front and rear ABS hydraulic disk brakes, the stopping power of the XM-3500Li is both quick & safe. The built in 2 Speed Automatic Shift Transmission gives the 3500Li a top speed of about 43 mph*. [Note: The manufacturer advertises 48 mph but our experience is 40 to 45 mph depending on rider weight; speed confirmed by GPS. Call us if questions on the top speed or mileage range.] The acceleration of the XM-3500Li is very strong, more than adequate for keeping up with city traffic. This plug-in electric motorcycle is capable of traveling up to 60 miles** on a single charge (at lower speeds on level terrain) and therefore does not need to be re-charged daily if the bike is not going to exceed it's maximum range.
