Our XB-562 is our lowest cost Electric Moped Bicycle and yet is powered by a 500 watt brushed electric motor and a 36 volt system comprised of 3 heavy duty (12 AMP) batteries. Also, the XB-562 comes complete with headlights, tail lights, blinkers, horn, key lock ignition & has a lockable trunk box for storing items. The trunk can be used as an ice chest to carry your drinks & ice. An oversize seat kit is included. And, of course, it has pedals which qualifies it as an electric bike.

The XB-562 is classified as a electric bicycle and is legal in most States with no license needed to operate* and usually no insurance and no DMV registration fees are required. . The XB-562 can be ridden without the pedals but, if you want it to qualify as an electric bicycle, they should be installed. Note that these pedals are mounted lower than our other electric moped bikes and, because of this, when rotated, only clear the ground by a few inches. When you are not pedaling but using the electric motor, simply position the pedals so that one is pointing forward and the other is back (as shown in the picture above) so that maximum ground clearance is achieved.

In some States or localities, because of its single seat configuration, the XB-562 can legally be ridden as a stand-up electric scooter (without the pedals) by those too young under that State law to ride an electric bike.

*Federal law HR 727 classifies the XB-562 as an electric bicycle and requires that States treat electric bicycles the same as other bicycles. Accordingly, in most States, your XB-502 can be driven without a State drivers license and, unless restricted by local ordinances, can be ridden any place bicycles are allowed to operate (CLICK HERE for more information on applicable Federal and State laws).
